ALVARO SIZA

The encounter with Siza took place during the architect's exhibition at the Palladian Basilica in Vicenza.

Siza designed Lorosae – with an essential and harmonious line – for the lighting project of the Great Hall, exhibition location.

Lighting solutions adopted: Lorosae
It was released more than 10 years ago but it continues to evolve to meet changing requirements. Designed to illuminate Álvaro Siza's projects on show in the Palladian Basilica in Vicenza, Lorosae is a large luminaire (Ø 70 cm), complete with the type of high-efficiency 150 W metal halide lamp that is usually employed in technical luminaires.

Lorosae met with huge success and over time it was developed into a complete product family and equipped with a range of different energy saving light sources, also for use in the home.
Ø 70 cm pendant in white or coloured methacrylate. Ø 40 cm, Ø 30 cm, Ø 20 cm pendants in white or coloured blown glass.

Thanks to its timelessly classic lines, all of Lorosae's charm and beauty has endured in each and every one of its many versions.
